I am currently studying for a BSc Hons in Computer Science at Oxford Brookes and alongside that, I have been working freelance as an IT Consultant for multiple businesses, of varying sizes.
I have a wide range of skills from networking to virtualised server infrastucture, with experience using VMWare ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V. I have performed multiple network installs and am adept at network design using software like Visio. PC installs / upgrades are also no challenge to me, having successfully completed multiple upgrades of both hardware and software.
Occasionally, I dabble in software development, developing my knowledge as I go along. The languages I use are VB.NET, PHP, Python, and PowerShell.
In my spare time, I like to DJ, game and watch football.
The company had a very small budget and needed their network fixed ASAP. I installed a Draytek Router alongside a VDSL modem to enable them to work again. Since then, I have done more work for them like performing reactive maintenance to ensure their business runs smoothly.
This business needed a new server to run their applications and store their large files. I procured a HP tower server and used Microsoft Hyper-V to achieve their end goal. During the install, an Active Directory setup was put in place to allow for better organisation of their network.
